Took refuge here on our way home last week in the hope that a half hour delay on the motorway could be avoided.
Lunch was lovely (sandwiches) as was the beer, all served with a smile.
Left after an hour to an increased delay of an hour!

Idyllic setting, the bar area is warm and cosy but the main restaurant area is quite frankly cold, and that has spoilt our experience on several occasions. Service is super, however, with friendly and attentive staff being much appreciated. Its worth mentioning that the choices for those who don't eat or like meat is rather limited.

I was doing a training course nearby and this pub was great....
The food was good and they modified the menu for the vegetarians in the group.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Red Lion. The place is lovely, the gardens are beautiful and the staff are supper nice and helpful. The bed was supper comfortable.
As a foreigner, I felt welcomed, safe and at home. I will definitely stay at the Red Lion next time I'm in Hinxton.

For a small country pub it was surprisingly busy. Food was excellent and portions were large. Highly recommend a visit if you enjoy good food and beer.

Had lunch at this attractive pub off the beatèn traçk in a pretty village. Lunch was from a limited choice menu for our pre booked group of 22. Good service and tasty food.
